Mark Sundby, M.Div., Ph.D., L.P.

Executive Director

Mark is a licensed psychologist and an ordained pastor in the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. Mark received his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota and his masters of divinity degree from the University of Chicago Divinity School. He has served in the local church, worked in a university counseling center, and taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Mary Honstead, Ph.D., L.P.

Staff Psychologist

Mary is a licensed psychologist having acquired her Ph.D. from the Educational Psychology program at the University of Minnesota. She is also an active United Methodist lay person with an abiding interest in the integration of the spiritual and psychological dimensions of life. Mary worked as a clinical psycholgist in private practice, agencies and college counseling offices before coming to NCMDC.

John R. Henrich, M.Div., Psy.D., L.P

Staff Psychologist

John is a licensed psychologist and an ordained ELCA pastor. John received his doctor of psychology degree from Argosy University/ Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 1998. John served as a parish pastor in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Chicago and served as an interim pastor, hospice and hospital chaplain from 1979-1999. John worked as a pastoral counselor at Westminster Counseling Center from 1999-2007, and also had a private practice in Burnsville from 2000-2005. He currently works four days a week for NCMDC and teaches developmental psychology at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus.

Jody Johnson, M.Div., LICSW

Staff Counselor

Jody received her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Middlebury College in Vermont and went on to complete both a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut. She is a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years experience providing psychotherapy to clients in various settings, including community mental health agencies and private practice. She worked with political refugees at the Center for Victims of Torture in Minneapolis for several years and developed an interest in the relationship between trauma and spirituality; she has spoken and written on this topic. In her Catholic parish, Jody is a lay preacher and a regular speaker on topics such as prayer and spiritual discipline.
